“At the scale we’re working at, Figma Motion didn’t seem able to string animations together into a really robust artboard. It doesn’t quite meet our needs.”

Importing files

Bring your existing designs into motion without rebuilding the layers.

  • Jitter

Import any Figma file. Extracts all the individual layers and assets, ready to animate.

  • Figma Motion

Nothing to import. Figma Motion lives inside Figma, so the design is already there.

Templates

Start with a proven animation and make it yours in minutes.

  • Jitter

400+ templates for every need. Logos, ads, UI, website animations and much more. Start with one you like and modify if you don’t want to start from scratch.

  • Figma Motion

No motion template library. You have to rely on Community files instead, with far fewer motion-specific starting points.

Your first animation in 2 mins

Creating videos

Turn a static design into an animation you can keep editing.

  • Jitter

Full animation control without motion design experience. Choose an animation and adjust its timing, easing and direction. Keep text and design edits simple without rebuilding the motion from individual keyframes.

  • Figma Motion

Keyframes give you control but require motion design experience. Build precise motion with keyframes and easing controls. Saved styles help reuse animations, while adapting a custom sequence still takes timeline knowledge.

AI

Create the first animation faster and adapt it for more formats and languages.

  • Jitter

Create the motion then scale the campaign with AI. Describe the animation you want, then keep editing it normally. Use AI to resize, translate, swap assets and create versions.

  • Figma Motion

AI creates the motion but editing still means keyframes. Getting exactly what you want can take several prompts. Manual changes still mean understanding the keyframes it created.

Collaboration

Keep feedback and routine edits moving without waiting for one motion designer.

  • Jitter

Comments that more of the team can actually act on. Both tools support real-time collaboration and feedback. Jitter is simple enough for marketers, content teams and even clients to make routine changes themselves.

  • Figma Motion

Strong developer handoff. Harder for everyone else to edit. Teammates and clients can leave comments and review the animation, but making the change still requires motion design experience. Figma Motion has the stronger developer handoff.

Exporting

Deliver every campaign version without repeating the same export steps.

  • Jitter

Export 50 artboards at once. Select all the campaign versions you need, export with 1 click.

  • Figma Motion

Export every animation one by one. Each animation has to be exported individually.

Capabilities

Everything Figma Motion leaves behind

Advanced text animations

Create reusable motion for letters, words and lines. Apply the same text effect to new copy without rebuilding it from scratch.

Multi-scene editing

Build and edit scenes separately. Reuse animated components so shared motion stays consistent as the project grows.

Video assets on the timeline

Combine footage with text and graphics in one timeline. Keep the whole animation editable when a clip or message changes.

Play multiple artboards together

Preview scenes and campaign versions together. Check pacing and consistency before exporting every deliverable.

CSV Bulk creation

Turn spreadsheet rows into animation variations. Replace copy and images at scale instead of duplicating and editing every scene by hand.

Batch export

Select the artboards you need and export them together. Save repeated clicks when a campaign has dozens of versions.

“In Jitter, I can group animations and change them all at once. Figma Motion can’t do that, so I’d have to manually redo all the animations.”

Why Jitter

Small changes that can become tedious in Figma Motion

Jitter is built for campaign-scale changes, so resizing, translating, updating brand assets, creating variations and exporting them stays fast and consistent.

Choose the language. Done.

Jitter adapts the copy and layout while keeping the motion intact. In Figma Motion, longer text can throw off line breaks, widths, positions, entrances and timing. Now you are checking layers, moving keyframes and replaying every scene just to make it look like it did before.

Testimonials

They tried Figma Motion. Still chose Jitter.

  • “I used Jitter’s GIF export settings to export the animation for an email after it didn’t export well from Figma Motion.”
  • “Jitter’s range of styles means something always fits what we’re doing. While Figma Motion’s built-in animations are very flashy and elaborate.”
  • “So I’ve tried Figma Motion yesterday and switched to Jitter in 5 minutes. Jitter is just 10x better.”

Over 20,000 creative teams use Jitter to create stunning animations at scale.

FAQ

Jitter vs Figma Motion

Choosing the right tool

What can I actually make in Jitter?

Jitter is a complete motion design tool. You can make UI animations, animated logos, social posts, video ads and website visuals. Start from a Figma design, a template or a blank canvas. Then edit the composition and motion and export it for the channel where it will be used. Figma Motion can make animation too. Its strongest fit is motion that should remain inside a Figma product-design workflow but it requires keyframe knowledge and motion design experience.

What is the difference between Jitter and Figma Motion?

Figma Motion adds a precise animation timeline to Figma. Jitter gives a wider team a dedicated place to design and animate finished motion assets. Both can produce polished motion but they require different levels of experience. Choose Figma Motion if you prioritize staying inside figma, UI animations and developer handoff. Jitter can also do UI animations as well as logo animation, website, social posts and much more... The key difference is Jitter is design to scale assests, versions, collaboration with-non designers and easy batch exporting.

Which tool is better for an agency?

Jitter is the stronger default for agency work that spans pitches and social campaigns and ads and logos and product visuals. A designer can build the motion once and the team can adapt copy and imagery for each client deliverable. Reusable components and consistent styles become more valuable when the same campaign needs many versions. Choose Figma Motion when the assignment is specifically an interface animation that a development team will implement from Figma.

Which tool is better for teams with designers and non-designers?

Jitter works well when a motion designer should not become the bottleneck for every routine edit. Designers can make the polished first version. Marketers and content teammates can then update copy and visuals while keeping the established style. Both products support collaboration. Figma Motion is a strong choice when the collaborators are primarily product designers and developers already working in Figma.

When would I choose Figma Motion instead of Jitter?

Choose Figma Motion when the animation belongs to a product interface that is already designed in Figma. It gives you control over keyframes and timing on the canvas. Developers can inspect the timeline in Dev Mode and copy code for implementation. For motion assets that need to be exported and adapted across campaigns Jitter is usually the more direct starting point.

Making and scaling motion

Why do keyframes become painful when a project changes?

A custom sequence can have keyframes for position and scale and opacity across several layers. One longer headline may change the layout. A new format can move the elements. A revised transition can affect timing. Each change may require another pass through the timeline or redoing the entire animation. Saved animation styles let you reuse easing, duration and other properties in Figma Motion. They reduce repeated setup, but adapting a custom sequence can still mean adjusting its keyframes. Jitter makes common changes feel like tweaking a Powerpoint presentation so feedback and iterations don’t require a full animation redo.

Can Jitter make advanced motion or is it just a template tool?

Jitter supports custom animation as well as presets and templates. You can refine timing and easing and direction and effects to get the result you want, it’s a complete motion design tool. Templates are a head start rather than the limit of the editor, which can speed up your process or help you test out animation concepts fast.

How does Jitter help scale a campaign without losing the brand?

Create the first motion asset with the right type and color and pacing. Reuse the design and motion across more artboards and formats. Update the content for each audience or language while keeping the shared visual approach. Jitter also supports animated components for multi-scene editing: build scenes separately, reuse shared motion and keep each scene easy to update. Batch export delivers the finished versions together. The advantage grows when a team must make a lot of assets and then revise all the versions.

What happens when a client changes the copy or logo?

In Jitter you edit the content and check the resulting motion. If the new copy changes the layout then adjust that version and review the others that use it. In Figma Motion a simple edit may also be simple. A custom keyframed sequence can require checking position and timing after the change. Try this exact revision with one real client file before choosing a tool.

Can I bring my existing Figma work into Jitter?

Yes. Figma import is included in Jitter’s Free plan. Import a representative design and check that its text and layers and assets are ready for animation. Figma Motion keeps the design on its original canvas. Your choice is whether you want to keep animating there or move the asset into a dedicated motion workflow.

Plans and delivery

Can I try Jitter for free before deciding?

Yes. The Free plan includes unlimited drafts and access to Jitter’s motion templates and Figma import. You can make an animation and export a watermarked video or GIF or Lottie file. Free exports are listed at up to 720p and 30fps. The plan has three workspace files and limited AI credits.

Do I get the 400+ templates on the free plan?

Jitter’s motion templates are free to use. This page presents a gallery of 400+ starting points across styles and uses. Pick one close to your actual deliverable and replace its text and visuals to test how much work remains.

What does a free export include and when do I need to upgrade?

Free exports include a Jitter watermark and are listed at 720p and 30fps for video and GIF and Lottie. Pro removes the watermark and adds higher-resolution exports and more workspace capacity. Max includes batch export and further delivery options. You can test the animation for free first. Choose a paid plan when the final client delivery needs those features.

Which formats can each tool export?

Jitter lists video and GIF and Lottie on Free. Pro adds ProRes and WebM. Figma Motion supports MP4, GIF, SVG and WebM exports, plus Lottie and dotLottie for supported animations and code handoff. The correct choice depends on the destination. Make one export in the required format and check quality and transparency and resolution before building an entire campaign.

Can I export a whole campaign at once?

Jitter lists batch export on Max and higher plans. That matters when a campaign has many artboards or deliverables. Figma Motion exports animated frames too but you need to export each artboard one by one.

What is the best test before I buy either tool?

Take one real design. Make a UI animation or logo or ad in each tool. Create a second size. Replace the headline with longer copy. Ask a teammate who did not make the first version to edit it. Then export in the format the project actually needs. Those five actions reveal how each tool fits your team better than a generic speed claim.
