Blend modes

Jitter now supports blend modes! You can use them to add depth, texture, and lighting effects to your designs by controlling how layers interact.

Try them out to:

• Design playful type animations where the text interacts with the background
• Add natural glows, highlights, and shadows
• Bring in grain, texture, or noise to give your designs a tactile feel
• Recolor images and videos without losing detail
• Create translucent, glass-like effects

Here’s how to get started with blend modes:

1. Select any layer on the canvas.
2. In the right sidebar, make sure you're in the Design tab and scroll to the Opacity section.
3. Click on the drop icon and choose an option (e.g. Multiply, Screen, Overlay).
4. Experiment with different modes to see how your layer interacts with the ones beneath it.
