Balanced and Smart AI modes
You can now choose between Balanced and Smart modes in AI chat: great for getting the most out of your credits, whether you’re making quick tweaks or building complex animations.
- Balanced (powered by Claude Sonnet 5.5) is fast and credit-efficient. It's perfect for everyday tasks like adjusting timing, swapping text, and fine-tuning animations.
- Smart (powered by Claude Opus 5.5) is our most capable mode. Use it for complex, multi-step requests like building a full animation sequence from scratch. It uses around twice as many credits as Balanced.
By default, Jitter uses the Balanced mode. Here's how you can switch between the modes:
- Click on the ✨ icon in the top right corner of your scene and select Open chat.
- At the bottom of the chat, click on Balanced and drag the slider all the way to the right to switch to Smart.
Stick with Balanced for quick edits, and use Smart when you need extra power. You can switch back anytime.
Other improvements
- Floating toolbar: Get quick access to key actions like the pen tool, media, and comments right on the canvas.
- File search: Find any file fast with the search field at the top of the sidebar in your file list.
- Aspect ratio lock: Click the lock next to the size fields in the right-hand panel to keep layers and artboards in proportion when resizing.
- Easy artboard renames: Double-click an artboard’s label on the canvas to rename it.
